AIR LIQUIDE Deutschland GmbH chooses AIMMS for optimized business decisions

Air Liquide has selected AIMMS technology as their optimization platform to support business decisions, ranging from strategic to short-term, based on a ‘fact based’ assessment of a large portfolio of real options.

Air Liquide’s business of industrial gas production is becoming increasingly complex, as energy sourcing is tied to a variety of energy commodity markets that undergo significant structural changes associated with strong market price variation. Operations management must take into account supply and demand data as well as contractual requirements and market information when planning the day-to-day operations, as well as for long-term strategic planning.

AIMMS has been selected as Air Liquide’s optimization platform of choice for its ease of use and powerful optimization capabilities, and its ability to inter-connect various data sources.

According to Frank Lüders, Efficiency Manager of Air Liquide in Germany, “We believe our work with the AIMMS software and teams has brought further positive impact on our efficiency in the daily operative decision making. This will surely play a key role in delivering strategic value and a competitive advantage to our customers in the future.”

‘I am pleased that Air Liquide is using AIMMS for mission critical processes in order to make an impact on their bottom line. Optimization is indeed about getting the most value out of your assets to improve your Free Cash Flow.’ says Christophe Frère, VP EMEA of Paragon Decision Technology, the developers of AIMMS.

EMEA News: Cash, Growth and Profit
These are three important topics in the boardroom. AIMMS can help you with all three of them:

  • Optimizing cross-divisional operations will increase your efficiency, remove buffers, reduce working capital and improve your Free Cash Flow.

Attend an AIMMS Google Hangout

Recently, the AIMMS consulting and support team has become very active on the Google+ social platform (after also achieving a very active support community through the AIMMS Google Group), and they would now like to explore the opportunity of hosting a virtual discussion via Google’s Hangouts feature.

A Google Hangout is a virtual meeting that allows up to 10 people to gather – via their webcams – for discussions and screen-sharing of videos, presentations, reports and more. The format of our AIMMS hangout could be a support session, a development idea session, or a case analysis – whatever users feel is important. We invite you to offer any topic or format you would like to see, and we also invite you to be one of the first to attend an AIMMS Google Hangout.

To participate in a Google Hangout hosted by AIMMS, or if you would like to contribute an idea or topic, please leave a comment here.
