Merck implemented a decision-support system to support their portfolio and associated resource management problems using AIMMS. This decision-support system is able to combine both responsive ad-hoc decision support plus advanced end-user support and meets the dynamic and challenging business needs of analysts at Merck to answer sophisticated business questions. At the same time, it can function as a desktop application to allow executives to evaluate strategic alternatives and to gain insights into the problems.
