1. CQM becomes AIMMS Service Partner

In February 2004, CQM and Paragon signed the AIMMS Service Partnership Agreement. The partnership of CQM and Paragon is expected to result in the execution of joint projects and developments in which CQM brings their consultancy experience and Paragon delivers the standard optimization tool. The combined experience should result in an ongoing improvement of CQM’s services and the AIMMS’ software.

2. AOI becomes AIMMS Service Partner

January 2004, Applied Optimization Inc. and Paragon signed a AIMMS Service Partnership Agreement.

Applied Optimization was established specifically to serve the need of the process industry for advanced decision support systems, including Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), Advanced Planning & Scheduling (APS), & process optimization. With over 25 years of experience in process and operations research within the process industry, AOI develops cost-effective decision support applications incorporating state-of-the-art technology, including AIMMS.

3. Paragon at the Informs Conference on OR/MS Practice

Paragon Decision Technology will present AIMMS at the INFORMS Conference on OR/MS Practice in Cambridge (MA) on April 25-27, 2004. You can meet us at Booth #4 in the exhibit hall or come to our software demonstration on Tuesday at 10:00 am (Track 16) where we will present the Energy Clearing application of Areva T&D.

4. Coming up: 2-Day AIMMS Workshop

The next 2-day workshop of AIMMS will take place on April 15 and 16, 2004 in the Amsterdam area (The Netherlands). During the workshop we will discuss several advanced AIMMS 3 topics by building a professional application in the field of planning and scheduling.

5. CQM makes design optimization work in COMPACT

6.  Areva T&D and Paragon sign Service Agreement

AREVA T&D Energy Automation & Information Corporation (Bellevue, USA) and Paragon have entered into a Services Agreement, effective from January 1, 2004. The Services Agreement reflects the successful cooperation between the two companies, and strengthens the joint efforts in supporting AREVA’s customers and developing Paragon’s modeling environment AIMMS.

7. Upcoming functionality in AIMMS 3.5

For the upcoming AIMMS 3.5 release, to be released in Q3 of 2004, we are developing many new features such as the AIMMS math program inspector, the capability to work with multiple math programs, global optimization with Baron, new graphical objects, Linux/Unix deployment facilities, and a 64-bit Itanium version.
