Air-Liquide_logo-300x99Haarlem, The Netherlands (December 4, 2013) –Today, AIMMS announced a new global license agreement with Air Liquide Technical Services LLC (“Air Liquide”) that will bring the benefits of AIMMS’ optimization technology to Air Liquide production units in the U.S. and in Europe.

Air Liquide is the world leader in gases for industry, health and the environment, and is present in 80 countries with close to 50,000 employees.

Air Liquide implemented AIMMS’ technology for closed-loop real time optimization purposes following an extensive research and development phase. AIMMS-based optimization models are applied to specific production units to improve production output while minimizing production costs and maintaining reliable operations.

AIMMS has been selected as one of Air Liquide’s global optimization tools for its ease of use and powerful optimization capabilities.

Charles Neely Harper, Director of Smart Manufacturing at Air Liquide, Large Industries – Worldwide Industrial Management commented: “AIMMS offers a great opportunity to extract additional value in our portfolio of optimization solutions at the local level where it enables our engineers and process experts to further push our optimization boundries and obvious links to the supply chain, making it a profit optimization solution rather than a process optimization solution. Having many experts able to think about and simulate our process using the AIMMS technologies and tool sets, is a real innovation that will improve the way we operate and understand our processes.”

“We are extremely proud Air Liquide has officially chosen AIMMS as its optimization platform. The global software contract between Air Liquide and AIMMS represents a long term commitment between our companies to seek out the very best optimization solutions to address Air Liquide’s requirements. They are a pleasure to work with,” said Jill Lizardi, AIMMS’ Vice President for North America.
